Upcoming Government Grants for QLD Businesses
Government grant funding can provide essential support for businesses undertaking a range of activities. For example, development and commercialisation of innovative products or services, research and industry collaborations, and initiatives to enhance the sustainability of a business or industry are common focus areas of grant funding.
However, it’s often difficult to identify relevant grants, understand whether your business is eligible and prepare a compelling application within the restricted timeframes provided. The key is to be prepared and plan for these grants as early as possible!
To assist our fellow Queensland businesses, here is a snapshot of current State and Federal government grant programs with upcoming closing dates.
It’s also worth being aware of the following grant and incentive programs, though these don’t have upcoming deadlines, or are yet to officially commence.
R&D Tax Incentive - an annual tax offset for eligible R&D activities with registration required no later than 10 months after end of financial year.
Made In Queensland – a popular grant program for Queensland manufacturers with a new round expected to open later in 2023.
Industry Growth Program – a newly announced Federal grant program that will support commercialisation of new ideas in target industries. More information is expected later in the year.
National Reconstruction Fund – a proposed $15b co-investment program that will support industry growth across a range of priority areas. More information is expected later in the year.
